PROJECT MANAGEMENT BASIC : PROJECT CONSTRAINTS

One of the thing about the project is constraints we have 

S , Q , C ,T Targets 

SCOPE :  who big is this project and what does it  Include 

QUALITY : How good this thing has to be  , every project has some quality requirement.

COST : Once we figure out , how big the project is and how good it has to be , so we decide to do that , this going to cost this much money

TIME :  and we take this amount of time. 

When we start  a project , we start from one of these things if you going to teach everybody in the organisation , one thing about project management , the thing to teach every body is this. If you have 5 minutes to teach any thing , this is what every body should learn. 

What is says upfront before the project starts  we say that to do this project at this quality level this will take this amount of time and cost this much money.

YOU CANNOT CHANGE ONE CONSTRAINT WITHOUT ADJUSTING ANOTHER ONE . MAY BE TWO OR ALL OF THEM 

Project Management institute ( PMI)  is governing body for project management worldwide.  They have in there new publication , their new addition cost , risk and resources.

There are some fundamental step we need to discuss and this is a foundation of pieces that we need to understand solidly.

There are three definitions that are little bit confusing for people but we need to be clear . we need to make sure we can differentiate perfectly.

A PROJECT : A project is a temporary , one time , coordinated undertaking , consist of

• HAS A DEFINABLE GOAL
• HAS A INTERRELATED AND DEPENDENT ACTIVITIES AND TASK 
• IS FINITE IN DURATION 
• PROVIDES A UNIQUE PRODUCT,SERVICE OR INFORMATION 
• OPERATES UNDER SCOPE , QUALITY , COST AND TIME CONSTRAINTS
