What is Project ?  What is a project manager ?

Philosophy 
PMI , philosophy of project managment does not disconnect projects from the organisations that carry then out. Every project has a context and is heavily influenced y the type of organisatoin  in which the project is performed.

Just like organizations and projects vary , shareholders will also play different roles. and effective project manager must identity the different types of project stakeholders such as customers , the project sponsors , senior management , understand the needs and help them work together to create common and realistic goals that will lead to a successful outcome.

Importance 
Because this chapter is foundational , it is highly important. there will be amany wustionsl onthe PMP esam that test your understanding of a project managmer , stakeholder , and sponsors. you must also be able to identify the different types of organisations, and to recognise a project as compared to othe types of related endeavors , spend time making certain you undersantd these terms and difinitions

Preparation 
The volume of material here is significant , and mush of the information is marked as important. test preparation should be focused on memorization of the terms and your ability  to apply them . Word to word memorization  is not essential , but a solid understanding is .
