Scope Management Chaper 5 (PMBOK)


Scope Management ensures that a project includes all the work required but not the work required to complete the project successfully. In a words , proper scope management carefully identifies what is and what is not included in the project.

Major 5 processes for Scope Management

5.1 Collect requirement
Define and documenting stakeholders needs to meet project objective 
5.2 Define scope
Developing a detailed description of the project and product
5.3 Create WBS ( Work Breakdown Structure)
Subdividing project deliverable into smaller component
5.4 Verify scope
Formalizing acceptance of completed project deliveries
5.5 Control scope
Monitoring status of the project and product scope, and managing changes to the scope baseline

  3. Why do you think that PMBOK is the 'global standard'? As far as I am aware USA is the only country where it has been formally adopted as a standard. In all other countries, PMBOK is just the BODY OF KNOWLEDGE and nothing more.
